We needed a way to talk about
All of the pain and love that we share
We're not alone, they're with us now
And we're on our way to where we're going
Leading the way, the mind knows how
And I'm hearing it now
I don't know why it's happening, I
I've gotta get myself to where I'm going
(Thoughts are of the hive)
No need to rush and find a way out
(Deep in it now)
On my way to where I'm going
I feel like the hive mind
Is giving me a way of knowing
All around us and high above
Awakening and unfolding
Controlling my heart and, I know that
I feel it now, I see it now
Oooh, the hive mind and I

One can imagine, with the stated theme of the album with the fact you don't significantly hear any water sounds until around 22 minutes, each song Karen and friends have created is a kind of dowsing rod highly tuned to locating the ocean/sea and the journey(s) taken from start to discovery, re-connecting the seeker to a treasured source of well-being. Losing the Sea - Tape mix side A changed my head, a little. Hope it's not too much to say, but after listening to side A, I sighed like after waking up & really feeling rested & ready for the world again. Very comforting, so delicately crafted and restorative. It's on a level that seems seldom reached, & I really think it would help to have more at this height / depth. Compulsory listening valvestat
